Local police reported the Netherlands fans were friendly and understanding at the crowd checks.
In a normal World Cup year, bars, pubs, and cafes in the Netherlands are decorated in orange, the national color, and fans gather to cheer on their team. This year, with the Netherlands participating in the Euros, the atmosphere is even more electric.
More than 30,000 Netherlands fans were expected to be on the parade through the streets after the team's 2-1 victory over Poland in their first group stage match.
The local police told ANP that football fans were mostly friendly and understanding at the checks.
